December. A month full of holiday cheer, snow, and family gatherings. Oh. And College Football.
Starting December 15, collegiate football will kick off the bowl games for the 2018-19 season. “Bowl Season” is a series of football games that span for around two to three weeks. The best of the best teams compete against each other for bragging rights and different trophies. These games are usually legends are made and hearts are broken.
As of 2014, the NCCA introduced the College Football Playoff (CFP) to award the best four teams with a chance to win the College Football Playoff National Championship Trophy. Ever since the CFP graced football fans with its existence, the Crimson Tide have collected two wins, Clemson won once in 2016, and Ohio State won the first ever in 2014.
On December 29, 2018, Tua Tagovailoa and the Crimson Tide will face off against Heisman winner Kyler Murray and the Oklahoma Sooners in the Orange Bowl in Miami. Also on the 29th, freshman sensation Trevor Lawrence will lead the Clemson Tigers into battle against Notre Dame’s Fighting Irish in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
After a loss in the Heisman race, starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is looking for revenge. Leading the Alabama Crimson Tide (13-0), Tagovailoa is looking to make it hard on the Oklahoma defense. Just as hard as is it to pronounce his name.
The short yet supreme quarterback for the Sooners, Kyler Murray, is prepared to sling the ball all up and down the field against the Crimson Tide’s number ten ranked defense. Baseball isn’t the only thing Murray can play. A man who can play and dominate both sports.
Second fiddle to the Crimson Tide, the Clemson Tigers look to reign supreme over everyone. The Tigers are out for blood after being doubted earlier in the season. Trevor Lawrence and
This College Football Playoff will truly be one to remember.
