As you may already know, Taylor Swift announced on December 13th, 2018 that she would be releasing a Reputation concert film on Netflix. Her fans eagerly anticipated the online concert and waited until 12:01 PST on New Year's Eve to watch it.
The film is comprised of footage from 28 cameras set up during the Dallas show, the last show she did in America. It features fireworks, dances, a giant inflatable snake, elaborate staging, and appearances from Charlie XCX and Camila Cabello. As Taylor said on her Instagram announcement, “You made this tour so insanely fun for all of us on stage, and I’m really excited that we will have this memento of the memories we all made together this year.”
The Reputation tour broke the record for the highest-grossing US tour since Billboard Records began tracking tour data in 1990. The tour sold 2,068,399 tickets, beating the record held by The Rolling Stones for their A Bigger Bang tour which ran between 2005 and 2007. Swift also managed to break this record with only 38 shows, while Rolling Stones did 70 shows.
