Ever since 5 Seconds of Summer have released their album, Youngblood, fans have expressed their support for the group and the album. The album has newer and more mature sounds compared to the pop-punk sounds in their older albums 5 Seconds of Summer (2014) and Sounds Good Feels Good (2015).
From the band’s newest album, the singles are “Want You Back” and “Youngblood.” However, other songs such as “Ghost of You” and “Lie To Me” became very popular among the fans. For months after the album’s release, many fans have taken to social media, begging the band to release music videos for both of the songs, but mainly “Lie To Me.”
“Ghost of You” is one of the few songs where I truly felt some of the emotions behind the lyrics. Although I prefer “Ghost of You” because of the guitar parts, Calum’s verse, and the overall beauty of the song, “Lie To Me” is still one of the best songs on the album because of Luke’s vocals and the harmonies in the pre-chorus and chorus.
On January 18, 2019, 5SOS finally released a music video for “Lie To Me.” Overall, I was impressed by the music video and I definitely recommend fellow fans to take a look. Lastly, I am glad that 5SOS didn’t “lie, lie, lie, lie, lie to me” about having a music video for the song.
