How to Protect Yourself from COVID-19


With the novel Coronavirus, COVID-19, spreading around the world at unprecedented rates, it’s important to recognize safety precautions that can be taken to reduce your likelihood of being infected. One of the most effective measures is to practice “social distancing,” or avoiding large gatherings and close contact with others. If you would like to stay active during this time, outdoor sports are your best bet; Coronavirus can live on plastic and metal for up to nine days, so activities that involve sharing equipment should be avoided. Additionally, it’s imperative that you wash your hands with soap and warm water frequently to ensure that you remove any bacteria that could cause you to contract COVID-19. Frequently touching your face, also, should be avoided, especially if you have been outside and have not washed your hands thoroughly.
