Happy Homecoming Jags!
Spain Park has a large list of events lined up for the 2021 Homecoming Week which is themed “Road Trip with Spain Park”.
Monday morning starts off with our destination being Florida, and the dress-up day is Beach Day, so students will be wearing leis, beach shirts, and Hawaiian shirts. Tuesday, the Senior Class Officers planned a Senior Sunrise at 6:30 AM for all seniors to meet in the Red Lot and to enjoy donuts and the sunrise together. The dress-up day will be Glitz and Glamour for the Hollywood destination. Wednesday is a big day for our Junior and Senior class. Junior girls and Senior girls will face off during AO at the Powder Puff game. Students can attend and buy their tickets during lunch on this day for $2. The destination for the dress-up day is Nashville, which means a country day with flannels and cowboy boots. Thursday’s destination is “Your Future” and this can be interpreted in many ways. Students have the option of dressing up with a career they want to pursue, dressing up like senior citizens, and seniors can wear a college shirt for where they plan to attend. Friday is game day at Spain Park High School. Seniors will be wearing the annual tradition of togas, while juniors wear blue, sophomores wear white, and freshmen wear black. There will be a pep rally at the end of the day, and the same outfits can be worn to the Homecoming Game at 7pm against Gadsden City. Homecoming court, including the princesses, king and queen, will all be announced during half-time. The Homecoming dance itself is Saturday, September 18th from 7:30pm to 10pm.
The Student Government Association as well as our class officers have worked hard to make this week as much fun as possible, so let's support our jags!
