Get to Know Ms. Lambert!

Graduate of SPHS and Mississippi State University, Morgan Lambert is the newest history teacher and cheer coach at Spain Park. She is one of 3 siblings who all attended Spain Park High School, exceling while they were here. Ms. Lambert was the cheerleading Captain both while she was attending SP and when she went on to Mississippi State. Her brother, James Robert, graduated last year and was the Senior Class President and was also very involved in athletics. Her father, who recently passed away, was Spain Park’s #1 fan ever since her sister started at Spain Park in 2006.

“Spain Park is a place that means a ton to my family. My dad loved Spain Park and attended every sporting event, after he passed it meant so much being at a place he loved so much. He was my role model and made me who I am today.”

What does Ms. Lambert teach?

Ms. Lambert teaches both freshmen - World History - and seniors - Government and Economics - and while this may seem very daunting, she refers to teaching the two simultaneously as her “absolute favorite thing. No two classes are the same, it's a different experience everyday and I love it.” Ms. Lambert believes that your freshman and senior years are the most important years of your high school career - “You are starting to discover your identity and figuring out who you want to be.”

From Captain to Coach

Cheering since she was 3, she has always been involved in cheer in some capacity. When asked about what it was like to be a coach as compared to cheering, Ms. Lambert said that she loves coaching more than actually cheering “which says a lot!”
