The Spain Park Choir Department is back for the 2021-22 school year with big plans. Already they’ve had a great start with their fun karaoke night that took place on September 3rd. As the school year progresses, you’ll be able to keep up with upcoming choir events through their website, http://spainparkchoir.com/index.html , so make sure you check that out and come to a few performances. Some of the performances coming soon will include their yearly appearance at the Cross Country meet held at Veterans Park on September 25th. All choir types will come together to sing the National Anthem before the runners take off, and afterwards stay to support Spain Park’s athletes with the posters they’ve made. This is a good opportunity to support the Cross Country Team as well as hearing our school’s amazing singers.
If you’re a fan of NASCAR, then you can check out the Chamber Choir’s rendition of “God Bless America” before the race at the Talladega Superspeedway on October 2nd. You’ll be able to support your fellow jags and have a fun time watching the race. Some other exciting things to look out for later this year are our Show Choir and their competitions. Their theme for this year is the Invention of Color Television and their competition season takes place in January and February. Our show choir is known for their amazing vocals and dancing and has got the awards to show for it.
